Sometimes, it's a good idea to manually back up your data before making a big change. This way, if anything goes wrong, you can easily restore things to a previous working state.

Just remember, manual backups can only be done in Production environments, not in Sandbox environments.

Before you start, make sure your environment is up and running. Need help creating an environment? Check out this detailed article about environments.

Steps to Perform a Manual Backup

  1. Get Your Environment Running: Ensure your environment is up and running.

  2. Open Disaster Recovery: Choose your environment, then go to the "Disaster Recovery" tab. You'll see an option called "Backup Now."

  3. Start the Backup: Click the "Backup Now" button. You’ll be asked to provide a backup description. Enter the description and click "Backup Now" again.

  4. Wait for Completion: The manual backup process will start and should take about 5 minutes to complete.

Note: There needs to be at least a 15-minute interval between manual backups.
