Sandbox environments in LocalOps function like regular app environments, tailored specifically for internal QA and testing workflows within your team. Here are some key points to note:

  • Purpose: Sandbox environments are designed for day-to-day testing, QA, and internal piloting workflows.

  • Features Disabled: In Sandbox environments, certain features are disabled to maintain focus on testing:

    • Backups (both manual and scheduled)

    • Custom domains

  • Not for Production Use: It's important to note that Sandbox environments should not be used for production or customer-facing use cases.

Creating a Sandbox Environment

To create a Sandbox environment:

  • Choose Sandbox Environment Type:

    • While creating a new app environment, select "Sandbox" as the environment type.

Managing Sandbox Environments

  • Updating and Deleting: Managing Sandbox environments follows the same process as regular app environments.

Using Sandbox environments allows your team to conduct thorough testing and QA without affecting production environments.
